Jisr

About Us

Background

Jisr is an Arabic term which means bridge. It was so coined because Jisr aims to bridge the financial need gap. For years, the founders of Jisr Capital thought about bridging the financial inclusion gap.  They had for years nursed the thoughts of bringing shariah-compliant products which would be within reach of those unable to access financial services in the mainstream financial institution.

Armed with the vision of financial inclusion and close to two decades of experience in the financial sector, they set out to establish Jisr Capital in 2021.  In 2022, Jisr started operations with key Islamic concepts of Murabaha and Musharaka. Jisr hopes to provide products that are not only shariah compliant but also visibly shariah compliant and beneficial. As such, we formed a shariah advisory committee drawn from the industry. In addition, our management team has vast experience working with the Islamic finance subsector.

Mission

To provide affordable, convenient, and efficient shariah-compliant financial solutions to businesses and individuals.

Vision

To be the most preferred shariah-compliant financial solutions provider in Kenya.
